Holiday Lets
An EPC is needed for all holiday let homes as of 30 June 2011. Holiday let properties will be legally required to have an Energy Performance Certificate in place before they are rented out.
This legislation applies to all holiday let properties that are occupied for a total of 4 months or more in any 12 months. Mobile homes, static caravans and holiday let properties occupied for less than 4 months of the year will remain exempt.
The validly period of each certificate is 10 years from date of the assessment.
